Built Like a Tank, Rides Like a Gravel Racer
The 15mm Rotor Shield
Standard folding bike disc rotors bend and rub the moment you drop the bike or pack it tight. We recessed our rotors 15mm inward. Fully protected inside the wheel hub frame, you get fierce hydraulic stopping power without the fear of bent rotors on rocky descents or trail spills.
52T Chainring
Forget the sluggish cadence of city folders. Armed with an oversized 52T alloy chainring and a wide-range 9-speed cassette, Hemingway GR is built for open-throttle sprints. Blast through flat forest boulevards or drop down gears to chew up loose fire-road inclines.
Fat-Tire Dirt Traction Body
20×2.0" Schwalbe Billy Bonkers turn washboard gravel and wet forest tracks into smooth pavement. The high-volume air cushion absorbs trail chatter naturally, while micro-knob treads bite hard into sandy corners and wet mud.
Pack More, Venture Farther Body
True exploration doesn't happen with an empty backpack. Rated for a rugged 105 kg payload with purpose-built cargo and rack mounting, strap on your tent, frame bags, and gear to disappear into the backcountry for the weekend.
DELTECH
Faster & Safer
15% Increased Frame Stiffness
The Hemingway folding features a unique patented Deltech design, increasing overall frame stiffness by 15%.
By fully utilizing the mechanical advantage of the triangular structure, it enhances power transfer efficiency, providing you with exceptional safety and a smooth, thrilling ride experience.
Super Down Tube
At the junction where the center line meets the down tube, the tube is fattened and tapered to increase frame longitudinal rigidity and strength. This increases stability, making it easier to ride.
Multi-Terrain Tyre
Billy Bonkers of Schwalbe
Provide superior grip on mud, sand, and rough terrain with anti-slip tread, plus a puncture-resistant layer and shock-absorbing design for reliable traction and a smooth ride in all weather conditions.
Loading Capacity
Designed for easy cargo handing, offering practical storage solutions for your essentials while riding.
More Details
Adjustable Saddlepost
Comfortable Saddle with adjustable height and angle for personalized riding posture.
Heavy-Duty Forged Handlepost Body
Eliminates stem flex when hammering out of the saddle on gravel climbs, comfortably accommodating riders from 4'9" to 6'3" (145–190 cm).
Recessed Safety Disc Brake Assembly Body
By tucking the rotor 15mm closer to the hub, critical braking surfaces remain completely isolated from exterior impacts, drops, and transit scratches.
52T CNC Alloy Chainring & Sunrace 9-Speed Body
Engineered with a race-sized 52T front ring to squeeze maximum rollout speed from 20-inch wheels, paired with crisp 9-speed Sunrace cogs for wide-ratio trail versatility.

HOW SAFE AND STURDY ARE FOLDING BICYCLES? WILL IT FOLD WHILE I’M RIDING IT?
All our frames and folding components are built in our own ISO 9001 certified factories, and all our bicycles exceed the rigorous U.S. and European strength and safety standards, as well those of Japan, Germany, the UK and France. All our engineering designs are rigorously tested and re-tested in our own laboratories. DAHON DoubleLok technology makes our latches and locks virtually fail-safe.
ARE SMALLER WHEELS SLOWER THAN LARGE WHEELS?
Relatively speaking, no. A small wheel has slightly higher rolling resistance than a larger wheel, but this is only one aspect of “speed.” Small wheels offer several performance advantages: they accelerate faster due to a lower moment of inertia, are more aerodynamic, and lighter. In fact, the world speed record for a bike ridden in an upright position was set on abike with 18″ wheels. With DAHON's latest "DAHON-V" technology, our small-wheeled bikes are now even faster than many larger-wheeled models, redefining performance and efficiency in compact cycling.
WHY CHOOSE DAHON OVER OTHER BRANDS?
DAHON is the world’s leading manufacturer of folding bikes – and has been for over 40 years. What’s more, 95% + of all folding bikes on the market today rely on DAHON’s pioneering technology.
WHAT’S THE ADVANTAGE OF A DAHON FOLDING BICYCLE?
Folding bicycles can go anywhere you go. Whether you ride the entire way or go part of the way by bus, train, car, boat or plane, your DAHON folding bicycle goes with you. Due to its compactness, your DAHON folding bike caneasily be stored indoors, safe against potential theft or vandalism.
HOW EASILY CAN I GET SERVICE FOR MY DAHON FOLDING BIKE?
Except for the frame, fork, and handle post, most parts are standard and can be replaced at any DAHON dealer.
Your place of purchase will generally be your first choice for service, but if you encounter any issues that cannot be resolved, please email service@dahon.com, and we will always be here to assist you further.
